The CPR Ready Generation™ Code of Conduct

7/13/26

The CPR Ready Generation™ is built on the belief that readiness is more than a skill—it's an identity.

We're building a generation that notices, steps forward, encourages others, and helps create a culture where people are confident to act when it matters most. As a member of this movement, you help shape that culture.

This Code of Conduct explains the expectations that help protect our community and ensure The CPR Ready Generation™ remains a positive, welcoming, and student-led movement.

Our Expectations

As a member of The CPR Ready Generation™, you agree to:

  • Treat others with respect, kindness, and integrity.

  • Help create a welcoming community for students, educators, parents, healthcare professionals, and supporters.

  • Support a movement that is student-led, inclusive, and built on positive peer influence.

  • Represent the movement honestly and responsibly, both online and in person.

  • Share authentic content and personal experiences rather than trying to appear perfect.

  • Encourage others to participate while respecting that involvement is always voluntary.

  • Respect different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

  • Follow all applicable school, workplace, event, and community rules while participating in movement activities.

  • Use social media responsibly and in ways that reflect positively on yourself, your school, and the movement.

  • Lead by example by encouraging confidence, respect, and readiness in others.

Responsible Social Media Participation

Social media is one of the primary ways this movement grows and inspires others.

When participating, members should:

  • Share authentic, respectful content that reflects their own experiences.

  • Never bully, pressure, embarrass, or harass someone to participate.

  • Respect school policies and the terms of service of the platforms they use.

  • Protect the privacy of others by obtaining appropriate permission before sharing photos or videos of others when required.

  • Avoid sharing personal, sensitive, or private information about yourself or others.

Responsible Readiness Messaging

The CPR Ready Generation™ promotes awareness, confidence, and willingness to act during emergencies.

Members should:

  • Encourage others to complete CPR and AED training through recognized organizations.

  • Avoid presenting themselves as medical professionals unless they are appropriately qualified.

  • Avoid creating instructional medical content or presenting personal opinions as medical advice on behalf of the movement.

  • Remember that this movement supports readiness and confidence—it does not replace formal CPR, AED, or first aid training.

Student Safety

The safety and well-being of our members comes first.

Members should:

  • Never place themselves or others in unsafe situations for the purpose of creating content or participating in movement activities.

  • Respect school policies, event rules, and adult supervision requirements.

  • Help create an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and included.

  • Report behavior that threatens the safety or well-being of others.

What Isn't Acceptable

The following behavior is not permitted within The CPR Ready Generation™ community or on our platforms:

  • Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind.

  • Hate speech or content targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.

  • Threats, abusive language, or personal attacks.

  • Sharing false, deceptive, or intentionally misleading information.

  • Posting illegal, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content.

  • Impersonating another person or falsely representing your identity or affiliation.

  • Violating another person's privacy or sharing personal information without appropriate consent.

  • Using the movement primarily to promote unrelated commercial products, political campaigns, or personal financial gain without prior written permission.

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please contact us using the information provided on our website.

We will review reports in good faith and, when appropriate, take reasonable steps to address the situation while respecting privacy as much as possible.
